# 45. Spend Wisely

I have very little doubt in my mind as to who you'll become in the future. I have confidence in knowing that you'll do great in life. That said, it wouldn't hurt to spend but when you splurge, thats a whole new different story.

# 44. Save Money

By the time you'll reach 18 i will have had taught you how to save money. I will understand though if you will have acquired my spending habits but always remember that it is also important to save something for a rainy day.

# 43. I don't know if it will ever come to trend in your generation but never comb your hair in public.

# 42. Guard your heart.

As the saying goes, 'there is always a place and time for everything'.

I am not referring to your first love but to the many men you will ever come across with in your lifetime. Baby, not all of the feelings you feel when your with someone is love. Not all of them are butterflies as well. But it doesn't mean that you shouldn't enjoy it. Embrace it but control your emotions, they are precious and powerful.

Above all, Guard your heart.

# 41. Always put your studies first.

Ah yes, saying this, i feel like I'm my mother or grandmother.

I remember when i was your age and i keep on rolling my eyes every time they manage to sneak this to every conversation they can grab a hold of. Guess what?

This maybe the most cliche thing you might ever hear from me but as true as the sun and the moon, this is real. I have had countless opportunities in my life squashed and wasted all because i have chosen everything first before studies. Back then i thought that i already had and knew everything, boy was i wrong!

When i grew up i realized that it was as equally important to finish my studies as it was to go home groggy from parties and alcohol.

Trust me my child, everything has its limits and boundaries, fun will eventually stop, friends will come and go, and college will soon end. I am not stopping you from ever experiencing these things but the soonest you will realize the ounces of truth behind everything, the better.

You might be wondering why i am saying this, call it my love for you, but i know how regret is painful. And i do not wish for you to ever have regrets with your life. Not with school at least.

So there, enjoy school, college would probably be the best years of your single life and you ought to enjoy it, just remember this rule of thumb. 'if you think that you are giving other things more time than your own studies, reel it in and balance'.

# 40. Your heart will always challenge you to do the unthinkable. Ifthat happens, let it.
